Okotoks Oilers forward Jagger Tapper has been named the Alberta Division Player of the Week.

The Calgary, Alta. product piled up three goals and three assists in Okotoks’ three-game sweep of the Spruce Grove Saints in the best-of-five wildcard series.

Tapper had a goal and an assist in Game 1 last Wednesday in the Oilers 6-2 home win. With the series shifting to Spruce Grove for Game 2 the following night, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute commit scored the game-winning goal 2:18 into the third period to help the Oilers take it by a 3-2 final.

He capped off the series with a three-point outing in Okotoks’ 5-4 win on Saturday. As the teams exchanged goals all night, Tapper had an assist in the first, a goal in the second and another helper on the game-winner in the third.

After the wildcard series, Tapper’s six points are tops in the Alberta Division.
